Managing conflict is more than teaching interpersonal, communication, and conflict diffusion skills. It is providing skills to prevent conflicts before they arise. Although it is impossible to eliminate conflicts entirely, organizations where managers and employees are more competent in managing conflicts realize financial benefits including reduced turnover and absenteeism.
Business Communications: October 8, 2025

Today’s organizations depend on a wide variety of communication formats. In this program, participants will learn principles of communicating clearly and concisely so they can maximize efficiency, make better decisions, and facilitate more impactful collaboration.

Creative Problem Solving: October 22, 2025

With the fast pace of business and with limited resources and time, doing the comfortable, quick, and easy thing to solve problems is common. Another obstacle to creative problem solving is that the real problem is not always clear. Creative problem solving allows individuals or groups to explore potential solutions despite a true problem identification. The process is less structured and provides an opportunity to discover open-ended solutions. It allows for new perspectives to flourish and for organizations to build an on-going culture of creativity.

Critical Conversations: November 12, 2025

When the stakes are high for you, other employees, or the organization, there are risks that should not be ignored. Leaders often need to provide sensitive feedback, confront disrespectful behavior, or work with a difficult client. How leaders handle critical conversations has the power to make or break an organization over time. This course provides tools to develop and have a critical conversation in which stakeholders’ perspectives can be shared and heard to create effective outcomes. You will have the opportunity to develop useful strategies and enhance your ability to successfully navigate these situations.
